ANG HEAVYGAT KONG ANAK

Tomorrow’s the first Monday of April, and time for the PMN FamPics again. The theme for this month is Heavy. And miracle it is, because… it’s my first time to post hours ahead. Heehee. Because for the past months, I’m always one of those late posties. ;)

Anyway, looking for photos to fit the this month’s theme was quite easy for me. ;) Just think of my tabachingching Little Boy, and that’s definitely one heavy, heavy entry. :) There are so many photos to choose from actually. But these particular burst of photos below were the ones I’d be more than happy to share.

These are photos of me and Nico posing by our Christmas tree back in December of 2006. I just finished putting up and decorating our stuff toys-filled tree at the time, and as a way to feel a little better with my so called “labor of love”, I asked photos of me and the Little Boy beside the tree. But gee, Nico was darn too heavy to be carried at that time. He’s weighing around 19-20 kilos then (I think, or even more LOLz) and oh boy, oh boy, he was really heavy. I was just smiling all along when the shots were taken, but after a while, my back was really aching badly. LOLz. Continue Reading »

HONING HIS READING SKILLS THROUGH E-LEARNING

[This post also serves as my entry to the PMN FamPics’ March Theme: Learning] ;)

Naks, the title sounds big shot ano? :) Kala mo kung ano nang seryosong kwento sa Blog na ito. Heehee. But kidding aside, in addition Nico’s fondness of playing online computer games (which I’ve already talked about here), my Little Boy has been really more inspired and motivated to hone his reading skills more since he was introduced to the great e-learning site called Starfall.com a week ago. Thanks to the heads up by Thet (Hi Thet! How I wish I can already reveal your link ;) ) and Cess, we’ve discovered this very interactive e-learning site whose geared towards developing the reading skills of preschoolers in a fun and playful way. :)

Just look at how hooked Nico was in these photos: Continue Reading »

MOM AND DAD CAUGHT AT PLAY

Oopps, before the title of the post totally mislead you and make you think of kinky and greeny thoughts, let me explain first. ;)

You see, I’m one happy Mommy participant in Pinoy Moms Network’s FamPics project who enjoys hunting for and sharing my family photos based on a monthly theme. And it so happens that the theme for this month is “At play”, thus, I dug my hard drive and found a perfect “At play” photo to share.

And yes, just as what the title of this post says, it was not the usual Nico at play, but instead his childlike Mom and Dad that were caught on cam at play. Hehe. The photo should stand to explain itself. Continue Reading »

MESSY ICE CREAM EATER

It’s the first Monday of the month again and time for the Pinoy Moms Network’s FamPics.

The theme for December is Something Messy and I have to believe that every doting Mom around experiences all sorts of mess having a child to raise, most especially mothers whose kid/s are still in their toddler years. From the toys cluttered around the house, the water that spilled in the bathroom, to feeding the child in the dinning room—may it be accidentally and intentionally—we mothers experience all sorts of mess.

And being a Mom myself, here’s a brief photo essay to share playing around this month’s theme: Continue Reading »

SOMETHING POTTED IN TAGAYTAY, THE BAHAY KUBO, AND TOM’S WORLD

It’s definitely not the first Monday of the month anymore and that should have meant I’m too late to submit an entry for the Fun Photo Find Activity of the Pinoy Moms Network called PMN FamPics. Sad me. And poor me because since this Photo Hunters-inspired photo scavenging activity was announced at the PMN site, I was one of those Mommy members who was all giddy and ever-excited to participate. But there I go again with my amnesia (and I always have the emergency Caesarian Section birth three++ years ago as an excuse) that I entirely forgot to photo hunt for SOMETHING POTTED–the PMN FamPic’s theme for September.

So then I said to myself: “Oh well, that’s life. I’ll just make sure to prepare my entry for next month’s theme and that I’ll just enjoy the following day hopping through the entries of Mommies who were able to participate in this month’s theme”. But wait till I checked into the PMN site this morning, Connie just announced the extension for the submission of entries until tomorrow, Wednesday, 05 September. And yey, I was jumping in joy upon reading it, saying to myself “Yipee, it’s never too late to photo hunt for SOMETHING POTTED”. So here goes my entry. Continue Reading »

GLOSSY PLASTIC COVERS AND A MOTHER’S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE: MY FIRST ENTRY FOR THE PMN FAM PICS

And yes, we’re definitely ready to show off our first entry to the Fun Photo Find Activity of the Pinoy Moms Network dubbed “PMN Fam Pics”.

Inspired by Photo Hunters, PMN Fam Pic is a fun Photo Find Activity where Mommy Members of the PMN can participate by posting a photo entry related to home or family taking on a Monthly Theme. The theme for the month is GLOSSY.

Honestly, I had a hard time digging photos that best suits the theme simply because when I thought of the word, the first that came into mind was that of a lip gloss. If my child happened to be a girl, compliance to the theme would have been much easier as I can readily convince my child to pose for a photo or two in a mirror wearing some lip gloss. But of course, my child is definitely a BOY and oh my, even if I can prod him to pose for a photo holding the girly thing, Nico would curse me to death if he gets to read this online journal when he grows up. Nyahaha.

Thus, a lot of pondering took place in my head for weeks (would you imagine that?) just thinking of a better photo that best depicts the theme- - - something GLOSSY.

So here goes our entry for the first Photo Find Activity for Mommy members of the Pinoy Moms Network: Continue Reading »
