OF WEIGHT LOSS AND POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
Most people I bumped into these days often comment I lost some weight. “Nagpapapayat ka ba?” (Are you on a diet?) this is the common question I often get. I haven’t really weighed myself as of the moment but I noticed my jeans to be a bit maluwag already on the waist, so maybe this was an indication that I really lost weight. And to answer the question straight if I am dieting: well, not really. It’s just a natural thing that “miraculously” happened to me. Haha!
I’m taking in some progesterone for the last two months since I wanted to address the hormonal imbalance I have (remember the PCOS?) but I don’t know if that’s the main reason for my shedding in some unwanted pounds. I noticed though that since I took the medicines, I really lost an appetite to eating, especially during major meals. From a cup of rice (and oftentimes, two cups even especially when I love the food in the table), am now down to just half a cup of rice every meal. And sometimes too, I can afford to skip major meals, yet I don’t get really hungry. Which led me to thinking: Is it healthy to loose weight this way?
I mean, I don’t regret the fact that I shed off some pounds (as a matter of fact, I soooo love this development, promise!) . But my worry is that the lost of appetite to eating and skipping major meals might not be healthy after all. And with the way I feel towards eating nowadays, this lost of appetite might get me sick.
Weight loss has been one of my post-pregnancy goals, yes. However to reach that goal, I do believe that it should be based on positive visualization and affirmations. Afterall, it’s not just the success of losing weight that matters, but more importantly, maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Losing weight can be an unhealthy obsession in the minds of many people who use fad diets and slimming pills (some of which have been recalled off the market for safety and I know of a company who sells diet pills along with Propecia and Cialis) to achieve their weight loss goal. And many of these weight loss plans provoke thoughts of anxiety and deprivation. This downward spiral of negative thinking, whether it is negative thinking about one’s body image or negative thinking about being deprived is counterproductive to a healthy lifestyle.
I really hope I get back my appetite soon. And when it’s back, I promise myself to just eat healthy and of course, in moderation. :) Afterall, eating shound NOT bring on feelings of shame and depravation. I do believe it should be a pleasurable opportunity to choose wisely as an act of self-love.

These days losing weight has become a big problem to most of us. Many are following some weight loss plans which helps them to loose weight easily. But as per my view its better to take nutritional supplements on a daily basis that helps a lot in losing weight.
Nutritional supplements also helps when one is into shedding off those unwanted pounds but I still believe the best way still is to consult a health care professional before embarking on a weight loss plan. and of course, positive visualization and affirmation can change one’s mind to help change his/her body.
Nothing beats the tried and true tandem of healthy eating and exercise. If you’re in it for the long haul then this is your best bet. Pero in fairness ha, pumayat ka talaga

I so agree Cookie. those advertisements on weight loss pills and those “quick” and easy ways to lose weight, we shouldn’t really believe them. very deceiving, really.
at in fairness, salamat sa complement. isa ka sa madami nang nagsabi nyan sa akin–na pumayat ako.
never been on a diet but Frenchguy is currently on the same dilemma because he gained weight, apparently, since we met. sisihin daw ba ako! he follows a healthier lifestyle, like he does more sport activities, eat but fruits in the morning (no baguette with butter and marmalade which he adores) and really light dinner.. we’re on raw veggie salads almost every night (buti na lang louna loves raw tomatoes and carrots hehe) and end with fruits as dessert.

Hi Analyse. we have the same remarks from the husbands. my Hubby too, sabi nya, he gained weight because of me daw.
I guess most husband are like that naman yata.
good for you. healthy eating matched with good exercise is the way to do it. pati pala si Louna, damay sa healthy lifestyle na yan. good for her.
I better consult my doc re: this lost of appetite. not healthy anymore. I want to lose weight, yes. but provided it should be attained by living a healthy lifestyle.
Mahirap nga yang ganyan, it seems unnatural to lose weight because you are not eating because you don’t feel hungry.
I hope you will be able to solve this

hi T.Julie. hirap talaga ng ganito. you wouldn’t believe it pero I can bear skipping a meal and not feeling hungry at all. kaya naman when you saw me, ayan, medyo pumayat talaga ako.
I’m planning to go back to my doc. baka yung Duphaston ang culprit for the lost of appetite.
Positive affirmations work in almost any and every area of your life. I was amazed at this book that actually embeds your name right there in the text. It made it so personal to me that I could really sense it got deep into my subconscious. Plus, I could view right online for free and it took only about 15 seconds. It really empowered me in a huge way.
If you want to see it and feel what I felt, go to http://www.youramazingbook.com
Enjoy!
Too much is made about the diet pills bought over the counter in stores. Skipping meals is definitely not the way for long term weight loss. Eating “habits” need to change and ofcourse some sort of aerobic exercise (at least 20 minutes a day, 3X a week) working together will not only help with weight loss, but FAT loss. People lose weight, sometimes from the wrong places (ie muscles), instead of losing fat.
Real fat loss is gained by changing the order of how you eat your food/meals and OFCOURSE stopping or at the very least cutting down drastically the fast food eating. I hope that you will see your doctor, because losing your appetite is not a good sign. Plus, nutritional supplements are always a good idea because alot of the packaged food we eat today is lacking the basic nutrients our bodies need.
If your weight loss is bothering you, you should see the doctor. It’s not a good sign, esp if you’re not trying at all.
Sana ako nalang ang walang appetite. hehe

hi Chats. honest to God, am not really trying at all. the lost of appetite just came in naturally, which is a miracle, really.
you’re right, I have to consult my doc re: this.
hindi mo na kailangan mawalan ng appetite. disciplined ka naman at saka ang sipag mo mag workout.
Hi Feng, I took Progesterone (Premarin din) before. Had hormonal imbalance too. Kaya lang I got pregnant kagad during the time I’m taking it.

hi Wench. amazing Premarin! ang galing ng effect sa yo, positive agad. it’s what I used to take too. but my OB-Gyne advised me to switch to Duphaston. that’s what I’m taking now.
