EXCITED WITH THE TWO LONG WEEKENDS OF AUGUST
Over at Plurk last night (haha! yes, we’re into this addiction right now), Cookie, Chats and lil’o me was talking about the declared holidays for the month of August and gosh, did we all felt giddy excited realizing that the last two consecutive weekends (August 16-18 and August 23-25) are long weekends! August 18 is Ninoy Aquino Day so it’s a holiday and August 25, the following Monday, is National Heroes Day, a special non-working holiday as well. 
And what makes it more exciting for Cookie and Chats was that, it’s even a longer weekend on their end since they are both Quezon City residents! As it is known, August 19th is Quezon City Day, so a non-working holiday for them again! Woooohoooo!
This conversation on long weekends then eventually led us to swap stories on what our plans for the much-anticipated long weekends are. Cookie and her hezzies and Hubby will be going to Subic for the nth time. Excited that she is, she’s done booking as early as now with a hotel in the Freeport zone. Chats, meanwhile is still thinking of her plans for the long weekends. But with more cheering and influencing from Subic-addicted Cookie, I won’t be surprise Chats will soon give in. Haha!
As for me, I’m considering going to Subic too. The onset of the school year, the toxicity at work, and yay, with so many domesticated issues I can hardly handle myself, our doors and walls and floor here at home as my very witnesses (haha! as if these innate things can stand for me daw ano?), I really need a break too, even just for a day or two. To be able to sleep at no alarm clocks to disturb me while relishing the smell the clean perfumed sheets of those in hotels—these would certainly recharge the already low-batt me.
On recommendations of Cookie, I might as well consider the hotel that’s near the Freeport’s Boardwalk. From what I learned, it’s a smart choice definitely—easy on the budget yet boasts with essential amenities like WiFi. That’s good news because at least, I need not bring our ever-reliable Linksys router which I share with the Hubby at home. That proximity of the hotel should also save us from long minutes of drive going to and from theme parks and amusements within the Freeport since the location of the hotel is just “right where the action is”. We failed to enjoy this privilege at our most recent Holy Week R& R in Subic.
Am keeping my fingers crossed I’ll be able to squeeze in this plan. I better start convincing the Husband. And if this happens, I’ll definitely buzz Mitch for a meetup. Which now led me to thinking, why don’t we set the next Eating Club meetup in Subic? Whatchathink Cookie, Cess, Chats, Lynn, Rach, Teacher Julie, and Wenchie? Let’s talk it over at Plurk tonight, okay?

We haven’t had a vacation for a long time but we still can’t go anywhere, walang maiwan sa house.
Subic is nice, hometown advantage, hehehe…I was born there, Olongapo so that makes me and Mitch real kabayan (if she was born there too).
Baka daw papasok kami sa Aug18 sa WS, can’t afford too many vacations, bad for the business. That is kung me papasok.
hi T.Julie! kaya nga i was suggesting sana sa Subic coz I know lapit na sa mga parents mo dun. anyways, anytime our schedules would permit it. teka nga, at mag re research ako ng day tour lang sa Subic, baka pwede tayo. hehe, pinipilit talaga eh no.
Aba aba dapat lang no! Hahaha! Di ko na natapos basahin ang post mo, excited akong magcomment! Sige na…. punta na kayo dito bago ako maloka! Ahuhuhuhu!

but i prefer to go to baguio, kasi parang gusto ko mamili sa palengke doon =D bibili ako ng maraming-maraming fruits, tapos gagawa ako ng maraming-maraming jam! at bibili ako ng maraming-maraming longganisa, at maraming maraming walis!

Makiki-wow na din ako over the long holidays. Those are always a relief for busy moms, ha. I can imagine you’re all agog with plans where to spend them.

the long weekends are really to wowwww for! it’s a big relief really, especially for toxicated Moms like us.
