HE’S NOW SWEEPING HIS OWN MESS

Giving kids household chores is a great way to teach them responsibility. As early as now, we are doing the same for Nico. After every mealtime, we politely asks him to sweep the little mess he created on the floor. And happy are we because without hesitation, he’ll follow what we’ve told him. ;)

I find it really really cute looking at the Little Boy holding the broom and duskpan. Just look at these photos taken just last Friday after our dinner.

Heehee. He was like a little adult. His reflexes aren’t that developed yet for sweeping, that is why, more often than not, the bits and pieces of mumos that fell on the floor often slips the duskpan (though at one time, I was jumping with joy because he accidentally swept the tiny weeny clip on earrings I was looking for days ago). But that’s perfectly fine with me. What’s more important is that, at the very least, he’s trying his very best to be responsible. ;) Makes me one proud Mommy.

We’re also training him help us with setting the table. I’ll try to capture this one in video and post it here next time. ;)
