TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY A NEW WASHING MACHINE

The weather’s been so unpredictable lately. In the morning, the sun is brightly shining. Then mid-day to mid afternoon, we’re scorching and sweltering in heat as if summer is still here to stay. But whoa, later in the afternoon, we’ll be surprised because it’ll be raining so hard. And with heavy downpours like what’s been happening for over a few weeks now makes me want to think it’s the start of the rainy season. Oh well, at least we get to take a few dips in the water this summer, so no regrets if the rainy season is already here.

What began to make me go nuts though was doing the laundry this rainy season. Wrong timing if one may call it, but our trusty seven-year old washing machine seemed to have conked out already. Yes, that washing machine has been with us since the time we got married and not a single laundry day that it failed me. Tsk, too bad it happened at this time that the rainy season is just starting. And domestic divas out there know that washing machines and dryers are just heaven’s sent especially during the rainy season because at least clothes just can just dry up instantly. And since last week it was malfunctioning, our house angel has been doing the laundry manually. You know, the kuskos, piga, sampay thingie. She isn’t complaining yet, but I can already sense she will soon.

So before I get to receive the complaints, I’ve already called Samsung’s Service Center to check on our unit and see what’s causing the spin function to malfunction. After doing the check just last Wednesday, the repair man said the unit needs to overhauled already. Apparently, the gear box is defective and the pressure sensor should be replaced already so that the unit can function fully.  Of course, I’m all for a go, go, go with the replacement. Why not?
