LOVIN’ THE GREENS AT LA MESA ECOPARK
09 March 2008 — On weekends, we usually troop the Mall as a way to have a good break from the busy week that had passed. That is, if laziness didn’t kicked in or else we just stay at home.
It’s been the most convenient means of relaxation since aside from the many choices of places to eat out, the Mall also offers a place to attend the Sunday service, pay important utility bills, and of course, shop.
It’s like a one-stop shop that have almost everything (sabi nga ng SM: We’ve got it all for you!), thus we need not go from one place to another.
On some weekends though, we opt to go to other places than the Malls. As Hubby had put it once, “para naman, ma miss natin ang Malls kahit konti”. And that’s what exactly happened yesterday.
After hearing the Mass at the small chapel within our subdivision, we thought of going through a sort of little nature tripping in a Park not so far from the metropolis–the La Mesa Ecopark. We spent over one good hour before we reached the place since we live central east of Metro Manila, but the wait was all worth it. Loving nature and all its greens to the fullest!
Here’s sharing random photos of our wonderful encounter with nature

hi Teacher Julie.
tiga dun pala si Wenchie. ay sayang, I didn’t know. next time we go there, maka drop by nga kina Wenchie.
umm, nung nagpunta kami nung Sunday, hindi naman matao. or hindi ko lang napansin ang dami ng tao? kasi naman, the place is really huge to stroll around. heehee.
Tama si Julie, you will have to pass by Wenchie’s store to get to La Mesa Ecopark. I love it there. When we were kids our parents used to take us there a lot. Hindi pa siya Ecopark noon, La Mesa Dam lang. It’s so nice now. Gaby had a field trip there 2 years ago. But we were rained out so she didn’t enjoy it much
Mukhang enjoy sa halohalo si Nico
Enjoy na enjoy si bulilit ah!

Thanks Feng for sharing all these great photos. Summer is perfect time to go to nature parks. Lapit na summer vacation ni Yohan. I think I’m more excited than him.

hi Cookie! ganun ba? naku, next time magpunta talaga kami ulit dun, drop by muna ako kina Wenchie!
La Mesa’s really a great place to visit again and again. too bad we didn’t get a chance to ride the boat. next visit namin, we’ll definitely try that.
yung halo-halo? hala, inubusan nga ako eh.
Mitch, ay sinabi mo, sobra pa sa enjoy. ayaw na umuwi!
most welcome Rach.
after Yohan’s exam this week, you go wait and see, feeling summer na talaga. like you, I’m much anticipating the last day in school, bakasyon na rin kasi tayong mga Mommies eh.
Enjoy na naman si Nico
It is a nice change from malls and shops. At parang ang sarap nang halo-halo at taho! wwaahh I can’t wait for August.

LOLz.

oh yes, summer na summer na nga! I bet Alex is looking forward to diving in the pool and going to parks na din!
Hi Feng, sayang I didn’t know you were there, our place is a stone throw away from the La Mesa ecopark’s entrance. And our laundry shop and beer store naman nasa gate ng village. Next time, picnic tayo nila Julie, Cookie, Rachel and others dun. Mag enjoy talaga kids. Me swimming pool (salt water) pa dun. Before, daily nandun kami from 4p.m. til closing time. Kami na lang natira sa park…he he.

eh ako nga din, nanghinayang when Cookie and Julie told me, tiga dun ka pala! sayang, sana nakadalaw sa inyo at nakapag-merienda. heehee, JOKE! pero di bale, now that summer’s here and vacation na ang mga bata, mukhang maganda nga dyan tayo mag meetup next time, with the kids of course. the swimming cum picnic sounds a great idea! naku, bigla naman daw akong na excite!
advance Happy Birthday Wench!
Looks like a wonderful place, Feng! I’m always on the lookout for places to take the kids to, other than malls. Malls can be expensive you know.
No really, I think I’m really more of an outdoors person and my kids are like me too. This is a great suggestion. Thanks for the review.

hi MegaMom!
it is, it is, a great place indeed! and I agree, going to the Malls can be quite expensive, especially that you can’t resist the temptation to shop either for you or the kids.
going to parks is the cheapest, I think. sa ibang parks pa nga, free pa talaga! and since you’re more of an outdoor person, you’ll really love the place. medyo mahihirapan ka nga lang chasing and running after the triplets, but I’m pretty sure, they’ll love it there.
