YAYA NESS TURNS 18
So today’s Valentine’s Day, and I can feel the love everywhere I turn my head to—may it be online and offline. Heehee, kakakilig! At home though, we’re kinda occupied with at least two monumental occasions and one lost and (hopefully, fingers crossed) found story. The other one, I’ll perhaps journal in this diary at another time, while the first one is this post.
She was just 15 when she came to us, surprisingly young and doubted to be incapacitated to take the responsibility of looking after our son while we are at work. But within a month’s time, she proved her self worth and earned our trust by showering our Little Boy with all her pure love and sincerest caring, to which we are very much appreciative of.
The pleasant and not-so pleasant situations, perhaps, we’ve been through it all and though I used to tag her as our soulmate nanny, never did I expect she’d stay with us this long. But here we are, so very grateful because up to this day—exactly the day of Hearts, she turns 18 (yes, ka Birthday po nya si Ms. Kris Aquino, so I guess that explains her indescribable personality).

She’s still a kid-at-heart and sometimes sinusumpong pa rin ng pagiging pasaway though, but just the same, she has been an integral part of our lives, so we wouldn’t mind compromising with her over and over. It’ s short to saying, we’ve accepted her as she is and same goes how she had accepted and looked at us.
Others may find it peculiar why we treat Ness just like that, but I guess those who knew the real story from the start (especially the Yaya blues part, which is much associated with this Blog) that there’s no denying that hindi na sya iba sa amin (sa ayaw at sa gusto ng Mommy ko, heehee). I used to wish that sana she’d stay with us forever (till Nico had his own kids, heehee) but with all that has happened before, including our shifts in emotions, is the reality that her stay with us, or any kasama sa bahay for that matter, is just temporary until she chooses a life of her own.
Whoosh, so much for mi sentimientos!
Anyway, our lady debutante didn’t plan anything grand for her birthday, except that today, she’s taking a few hours off for some Valentine’s dates with her (read: boylets). Hindi naman sya masyadong playgirl diba? But it’s okay because at least it’s an indication that there’s nothing serious going on. After her dates, and soon as I got home later today, we’ll just whip up a little cooking in the kitchen and spend a small salo-salo with our neighbors. I’ll just update this post with photos later.
