Feng on Dec 21st 2007 Multimedia, Nico's Milestones
I know it’s too early for Nico to fall in love (gosh, what am I saying?), but I bet Cookie and Mitch would agree with me by saying that pairing and teasing little boys with little girls nearly of the same ages looks so cute together. Well, there’s really nothing serious about it, in fact Cookie, Mitch and me have been openly joking about this love sort of “love triangle” between Cookie’s Adi, Mitch’s Deye, and my very own Nico in the Blogsphere for quite some time now. For us, that’s just what we Mommies call katuwaan lang naman.
In Nico’s school, some Mommies and me have been teasing and pairing our Little Bundles too. Nico is being paired with an adorable pretty girl named Tisha, who supposedly had a big crush on him. And whenever we ask Nico if he likes Tisha too, he would always blush to shyness but later on admit he likes Tisha too.
The very same shyness, I witnessed last Wednesday when Nico and his classmates from Nursery had their little Christmas Party. Take a look at the video clips I was able to peak while the kids were having their games and Nico (wearing an Orange polo shirt and Khaki short pants) and Tisha (wearing Little Ms. Clause outfit) were paired.

Feng on Dec 19th 2007 Nico's Milestones, The Mommy-Heart in Me
It would be a cliche to say that “the best Christmas gift of all is the simple presence of a happy family all wrapped up with one another”. The same goes for what every Christian family wished and hoped for, right? But given a chance to name anything material that I’d like to receive this Christmas, on top of my wishlist would be an i-Phone definitely, or a Canon EF 70-300mm telephoto lens as an added accessory for my camera.
As of todate though, I haven’t received any of the two. Hubby was all aware I want those for myself but I understand too, I can’t have it at this time as we need to prioritize where to spend our hard-earned money. We’ve both decided that half of our Christmas bonuses for this year, plus earnings we got from our little growing business, will be alloted as advance payment for the existing housing loan that we have. That should augment our outstanding balance significantly, thus we can request for a re-computation and shorten our term of payment to (hopefully) just 10 years.
Sad as it may seem, our spirits for Christmas is not at all dampened, receiving today the best Christmas gift ever. Continue Reading »
Feng on Dec 12th 2007 Being a Better Half
Caution, caution: This is nothing but a corny and mushy love letter for my Hubby as we are celebrating our 7th year on the 17th of December. The next few days will be hectic and will refrain me from going online, so am posting this in advance.
I was tagged eons ago by Mitch to share something about The Hubby, thus, this post is at the right timing, and will also serve that purpose. Nyahahaha.

To My Dear Hubby,
In less than a week, we are approaching our 7th year. Isn’t it amazing? How time flies. It seemed like yesterday when we were just talking about how the first seven years of our lives will be or will we be able to survive the seven-year itch?
And here we are, still very solid and going stronger. I cannot claim that we have the perfect marriage, our seven years has been filled with so many ups and downs, trials and challenges, actually. But how both of us adjusted to make our marriage work for the better is something I am proud of. Continue Reading »

Caution: A quite sentimental post ahead. So ready your hankies for wiping some tears. This is an answer to the tag by Teacher Julie on What Christmas Means to Me.
Whenever Christmas time arrives, there’s always this warm feeling inside of being giddy and excited. It’s a season experienced since childhood and the feeling of excitement that had stayed year after year. There must be something about Christmas time—the feeling of chills from the cold and breezy weather, hearing the children caroling in the streets, seeing Christmas lights and decors installed everywhere, witnessing how the roads suddenly becomes busier and commercial centers populated with more and more people doing their Christmas shopping.
I have to admit that sometime in my childhood, especially when financial difficulties in the family strikes and it timed during the Christmas season, I can’t help but feel a little pity either for me or my family, for not having the gift that I want, or new clothes or new toys or holding enough money to spend to make my Christmas happier. It was materialistic in a sense, and whether or not how I was raised by my parents or the commercial environment had something to do with it, it all boils down to a realization that resisting the distractions and temptations of the commercialized side of the season was really hard to practice. Not until I had a family of my own. Continue Reading »

“Tabachingching,” that’s what most people comment whenever they see the healthy physique of Nico. For us, that’s suppose to mean a complement as we’ve observed that the same physical trait was often the gauge of people for judging that we are indeed doing a good job as far as raising our only child for now is concerned. And to relatives and friends and acquaintances who knew Nico was a preemie with a heart issue before, they were surprised even more as they didn’t expect the tiny little baby who “can literally fit in a shoe box” before to now have grown up bigger as kids his age. “Akalain mo nga naman mag-grow up at tumaba ng ganyan ang batang yan,” was a comment that we often hear.
Well, at least on a Pinoy’s general perspective, a child who is chubby is often tagged as healthy while a child who is thin or what is often tagged in the Pinoy language as “patpat” is the opposite. I have to say so myself as we’ve experienced all sorts of comments for both the “patpat” and “tabachingching” phases in Nico’s physical growth. Continue Reading »
Feng on Dec 3rd 2007 PMN FamPics entry
It’s the first Monday of the month again and time for the Pinoy Moms Network’s FamPics.
The theme for December is Something Messy and I have to believe that every doting Mom around experiences all sorts of mess having a child to raise, most especially mothers whose kid/s are still in their toddler years. From the toys cluttered around the house, the water that spilled in the bathroom, to feeding the child in the dinning room—may it be accidentally and intentionally—we mothers experience all sorts of mess.
And being a Mom myself, here’s a brief photo essay to share playing around this month’s theme: Continue Reading »
