IMAGES OF CHRISTMAS 2007

Christmas is definitely over but the warmth and joy plus the holiday feeling it brings continue to linger. It’s a regular working day today in my part of the world but still, I feel too lazy to write. I am afraid this laziness will soon lead to some sort of mental-blogging block so I am taking the opportunity now to drop in a few lines and just let the loads of photos speak for itself.

So here goes, our images of Christmas 2007.

Early Noche Buena at My Mom’s. It will be a little too late for us to get home if we stay longer in my Mom’s home past 7PM, so instead of having dinner, we had an early merienda Noche Buena on the 24th. The food for the real 12MN Noche Buena isn’t prepared yet, so we just feasted on whatever is available in Mom’s kitchen. With the whole family munching on chicharon (LOL), two pans of pizza, and spaghetti ala Chesca at Mom’s Bahay Kubo, we’re solved! And finally, we capped the day with a visit to Dad’s resting place.

My cup of fruit salad sitting at a table in Mom’s Bahay Kubo.
Doesn’t it look Christmassy with the Parol behind it at the window?

How about Chicharon for Noche Buena?

Hmm, a pan or two of Greenwich Primo Fully Loaded will do just fine too.

Yummy!

Spaghetti ala Chesca loaded with lots of ketchup and hotdogs. LOL.

Cousins Chesca and Nico sneaking through our
new angel in the family, Baby KC.

She’s still in the mood to smile in this pic.

Nico doesn’t mind what we’re eating,
so long as he’s got Chicharon to munch.

Baby KC’s feasting with us on Noche Buena too!

Drunken cousins.

They love one another, they even shared the glass of Coke.

Hubby feasting the odd-tasting spaghetti meal and the pizza

Mom’s wacky the whole time we’re eating our merienda Noche Buena.

Chesca got her first papasko from Tita Ninang here.
Disappointed? Well, she wanted some more of the bills.

My brother as first time Dad to Baby KC

Capping our Noche Buena with a visit to Dad’s and grannies’ resting place.

Finally, a pic of me and Nico at Dad’s resting place.

Visit to my In-Laws’ on Christmas Day. The following day, Christmas Day, we went to the resting places of FIL and MIL. Spent a few hours there before we head to Tagaytay for a hearty Christmas Lunch.

Christmas Lunch at Tagaytay. It was a trip unplanned because the original plan was to attend a Christmas Mass either at St. Francis or Jose Maria Escriva’s in Ortigas, then have lunch somewhere near the area. But since we’re in the south already, we went all the way to Tagaytay for a hearty lunch and a visit to Pink Sisters’ Convent.

Oh I miss Nico. He is just so adorable. Your photos with the family are so heart warming. I don’t have a mom and dad now so it’s good to see you enjoying yourselves.
