MESSY ICE CREAM EATER
It’s the first Monday of the month again and time for the Pinoy Moms Network’s FamPics.
The theme for December is Something Messy and I have to believe that every doting Mom around experiences all sorts of mess having a child to raise, most especially mothers whose kid/s are still in their toddler years. From the toys cluttered around the house, the water that spilled in the bathroom, to feeding the child in the dinning room—may it be accidentally and intentionally—we mothers experience all sorts of mess.
And being a Mom myself, here’s a brief photo essay to share playing around this month’s theme:
Below are photos of Nico eating a cone of Cornetto ice cream with all the mess. Taken last March 2007 (barely a month before his third birthday), it was his reward for behaving so well for the first time after a haircut at a jologs Barber Shop near our home.
The mess that goes with eating the ice cream sure gave me a hard time getting rid of the chocolate stain in Nico’s white shirt, but that’s perfectly fine. The more important thing was that my messy ice cream eater enjoyed every moment slurping on the melting ice cream. It was pure happiness of a child that no amount of money can buy.
So this Cornetto was what I got from behaving in that jologs Barbershop?
Oh well, this looks fine with me. BTW, you wanna know how to eat a Cornetto without the mess? If not, then let me show you how…
Open the cover. It’s okay, if you ask your Mom for help. But believe me, it’s more fun if you open the cover yourself. Then smile on the camera for Mom’s sake!
Start slurping. Make sure not to drip any of the melting ice cream.
Hold your ice cream near your chin like what I do, so you can eat the ice cream better and avoid drips from the melting ice cream.
Then slurp, slurp, and slurp away till you finish your cone.
There you have it, the best way to eat your ice cream without the mess. Did you see any drip of ice cream in my face? See, I’m not really messy at eating my ice cream, right?

hahahaha! he looks as messy as my son whenever he eats ice cream. At take note ayaw pa mamigay. Sabi nung sis ko, ayaw na nya bilhan ulit ng ice cream kasi nagiging monster. hahaha!
Btw, i absolutely agree with this line : “It was pure happiness of a child that no amount of money can buy.”

re: template/theme–ahihi, di ako mapakali sa trying so many themes, may bago akong mga na-download, so expect constant changes in the template.
Teacher Julie, ay oonga, mukhang walang pakelam si Nico dyan kesyo mukha na syang monster, basta todo lang sya pagkain ng ice cream. sarap eh!

What a splendid mess! I think we should really really allow our children to mess up happily, freely — sometimes. and SOMETIMES is the operative word. hahaha

Hi Feng. I was here the other day (you had a different theme then) but the power went out and wasn’t able to come back yesterday. I think the strong winds caused electrical fluctuations or something like that.
I enjoyed Nico’s fun ice-cream eating saga. Ha ha! He’s so adorable. It’s so amusing to watch kids eat ice-cream with gusto despite occasional clothes stains.
Wait lang Feng, before I comment about your messy entry. I know this is a very late reaction pero kainis ka, you’re so good. Haha. You got me. I was reading your former blog with your farewell note. Haha. Anyway, congratulations! You have your own dotcom.
And Nico surely gobbled up the ice cream like there’s no tomorrow. I think kids will always have this kind of picture that mothers are just proud to show to everyone. Why not, look here, ang cute ni Nico! Tabachingching pa rin!

no problem with the clothes, there’s always a Hubby ready to wash them. nyahaha.
