BLESSED DAY ON A RAINY DAY

At last, I found a me-time for myself today to write down a few thoughts! Last week was a very hectic one for me going through around two different seminar-workshops (the first being a two-day seminar on the new Project Management System and the second, a three-day seminar on Statistical Analysis of Data) that I wasn’t even able to glance what’s happening in my own little world of Blogsphere.
Nothing so profound, no particular direction with this entry–just randomness and a free flowing of insights as I thought of them in my head. Thanks to the heavy downpour this morning, I decided not to go the Office today and just do my work deliverables till Friday right here at the comfort of our home. Plain laziness as one may call it, but seeing the breaking news on TV at lunchtime, I am just as thankful that I didn’t brave the rains at all as hundreds of commuters were stranded along the routes where I usually pass. Hehe. Must be my lucky day today huh?
Lucky? Or isn’t it more so appropriate if I call this day a blessing? Everyday is always blessing from and indeed always appreciated. But this particular day, I appreciate even more. A blessing–because today is a fulfillment of the compromise agreement that Boss guaranteed me of so long as I keep my item with the organization.
Today is one of those endless days that I have the benefit to still accomplish a work-related task right here at home while at the same time attending to the needs of my Nico.
And for this blessed day particularly, I was able to bring my son to school, get back home and spend the two precious hours working on the first part of a report at work, then fetched Nico in school, ate our morning snack together while watching TV, cooked our lunch (then of course, we ate the lunch I prepared afterwards, hehe), washed Nico up for his long afternoon nap, and now he’s past asleep, and I am now in front of my laptop, enjoying yet another quality me-time. And my, it feels good being able to accomplish so many things half the day early!
So even at a gloomy, drizzly, rainy weather outside, I’d call this day, not my lucky day, but one of my very blessed days!
