NICO’S ‘BIDA ANG SAYA’ BDAY PARTY

040107-102_1.jpgYesterday was Nico’s 3rd Birthday Party and really, we had a blast! The party took place at where else, duon kung saan bida ang bata—sa Jollibee! Actually, we didn’t really plan to hold a party na because we have earlier booked an almost week-long out-of-town trip at Ocean Adventure / Camayan Beach Resort in Subic since Nico’s birthday fell on the Lent Season. But due to Nico’s insistent demand (and in his fondness of Jollibee), we have no other choice to but gave in to holding a small party for him.

I had hesitations some weeks ago before finally booking in for a Jollibee party mainly because with the many Jollibee kiddie parties we’ve attended, it now makes it more predictable on what to anticipate in a Jollibee party. I have nothing against Jollibee-conducted parties. It’s just that maybe, I find their party programs are somewhat standardized, meaning, if one had attended a Jollibee party, he/she is expected to see the same program format (games, Jollibee dance numbers etc.) in the future Jollibee parties he/she will attend. But the very reason that my Nico was the one encouraging me and his Dada to hold a Jollibee party for him, we knew we had to set aside our own reasons. The fact that I was a witness as to my son’s enjoyment and happiness in Jollibee-held parties, it should definitely served as concrete proof that there’s no amount of money can ever replace a child’s happiness.

Thus, we made up our minds and yesterday a customized Jollibee party was held for Nico in a spacious party room of Jollibee Greenmeadows. I’d say customized because we requested for something extra-ordinaire in some of the games that involved almost all of the guests, from the adults (Lolos and Lolas, the Mommies and Daddies, the Titos and the Titas, the drivers and the Yayas), and the small and big kids. We also choose to book the party in that clean and customer-friendly branch of Jollibee Greenmeadows and not in a Mall since (aside from the Greenmeadows branch was just near our home and accessible to the places where our guests will be coming from) we don’t like the idea of huge crowds on a Sunday.

We’ve invited just our closest family relatives and friends and it was a Fun Day indeed. Nico, and the rest of the kids as well, so so loved the Spongebob Theme that they were so proud wearing the animated party hats. They also enjoyed coloring the Spongebob Coloring Flyers a.ka. placemats placed at all of the tables while waiting for the party to start. As soon as the program started, joys and thrills, and laughter and happiness filled the jam-packed Hetty Party Room. Everybody enjoyed the customized games, especially the one prepared for the Lolos and Lolas and the drivers and Yayas—Ha, ha, ha! Ang daming nabuking! Nico and the rest of the kids meanwhile were at all joys as they see Jollibee danced to the tune of “Bida ang Saya”.

It was a very simple party, yet everyone enjoyed it! And best of it all, Nico appreciated and loved everything. Even as all of his loved ones always it a point to let Nico feel that he’s got a special place in our hearts, the Birthday Party prepared for him reinforces his feeling that he is indeed loved by his Mommy and Daddy and the rest of their families and friends.

Happy Birthday to Nico! I’m so glad he had a wonderful advance birthday party. Kids really love Jollibee ( just like my son). How nice that you came up with customized games that everyone enjoyed.

Have a lovely trip at Ocean Adventure. May you have a meaningful Lenten Season.

    Take care!

Very true, it’s really more fun having the adults participate in the games too! Everybody sure had a great time!

    Happy Birthday Nico!
