WEEKEND REFLECTION (04 TO 10 DEC)

Christmas is really here!
Hubby took the whole week attending the Christmas parties of his clients. And Nico was so curious to see every morning his Dada cleans and arranges his clutter as these things started piling up our ref and the living room: take home stuffs from the parties such as cooked ham, several wines, fruit cakes, and corporate giveaways.121006_010_1Our very own Christmas Tree is slowly metamorphosizing into being more rosy with me putting in a number of glittering chiffon red ribbons around it. Hubby meanwhile bought additional transparent yellow rice lights and formed it into a star that was placed above our Tree. And those lights made our Tree more glowing in glee!

A two-some goodnight conversation
Hubby and I had some insightful conversations at a few of our late night talks last week. Finally, Hubby is pushing through with his new business venture probably next year (which I will write about as soon as significant developments happen). Hubby already met yesterday, Sunday, the STE and I will be helping him out in completing all the necessary documents for the company to already be able to secure a license with a Philippine government agency. The license is the only thing that’s being awaited by the proponents for the three projects to officially be awarded to us (we’re keeping our fingers crossed). I am so much hopeful that we will get by and be successful in this new venture as earnings from this new business will greatly complement our earnings from our respective jobs. I know my dear Dad (who has been an expert in such business field) will guide us in spirit.

We have talked about our plan to put Nico in pre-school next school year as demanded by our Little Pre-Schooler’s continued interests and inclination to learn. Hunt for the best school starts in January and we are considering a number of them. Meanwhile, we are looking forward to meeting with a Developmental Pedia this week to get answers for some of our parenting concerns.

Same goes for Our Soulmate Nanny, whom we are supporting schooling. The plan is to schedule her for night school and the candidate school is just near our residence.

Some postponed meetings, dampened by the not-so-fine weather
It’s so sad though that I opted not to attend several functions mainly due to the somewhat disturbing weather: First was the Christmas Party organized by fellow Christians in the company where I am working for. Second was the EB cum Christmas Party of PEX Mommies on Sunday which I really planned attending (I have readied two gifts actually). And lastly, meeting with my two girl friends that was postponed again for the second time and which I hope, hope, hope, to push through at least before the year ends.

…Still I am thankful
Despite the not-so-good weather, I am very much thankful that my loved ones remains to be at the pink of health—no colds, no cough, no flu and are not at all sick. I hope that all of us in the family continue to feel well and have strong resistance to sickness so as we can all gear up for the coming holiday season.
