From Dawn Till Dusk

Yesterday was my 30th Birthday and what a great day it was to pamper and treat and myself with life’s simple pleasures.

Off for a birthday leave from work, I woke up kinda late in the morning with my Little Baby and hubby sweetly greeting me with a happy birthday song. And oh, it’s so delighting to read birthday greetings from family and friends in my phone and email’s inboxes. Again, thank you guys for all those greetings and thank you too for reminding me that I’m nearing the calendar’s end date. Then the breakfast, ginisang Mega sardines with Sotanghon for long life that is, prepared by our ever reliable Ate Ness that morning steered up the family celebration.

Come 10AM, I treated myself with a long-overdue facial at Aesthetic WhiteBeauty Center (it was the first-ever facial in the history of my life). After that relieving facial, I went to David’s for a hair trim, haba na kasi hair ko eh. At lunchtime, hubby and I ate out at Italliani’s. There, we savored their superb Herbed Chicken and Rice with blanched veggies on the side. I also ordered bottomless Dalandadan juice as my drink. That Dalandan juice was too good that we kept asking the attendant assigned on our table to refill our glass about four times. When our stomachs were already full, we watched Twin Towers the movie starring Nicolas Cage.

It’s almost 4PM when we got out of the movie house and so we rushed to buy a petite choco mouse cake so as we get home early and celebrate with our Little Buddy. Ate Ness prepared Nico’s favorite spaghetti for all of us and after a brief singing of the birthday song and blowing of the candle cake, we ate together!

There, that’s how I celebrated my 30th Birthday as recorded in this online personal journal of mine. Reviewing what happened the past year? Well, the past year felt like a sort of roller-coaster ride for me having gone through the ups, downs and turn arounds of life. But what’s important now is that God has blessed me with 30 wonderful years in this world and another more year ahead.
